Brenda Marshall (1)

Learning to Love Your Husband - Brenda Marshall

This workshop will examine the godly principle of Titus 2:4, to “train the young women to love their husbands “. We will learn practical biblical principles of “how” to love our husbands, as well as “why“ this is so critical in 2020.

Bio: Brenda and her husband Earl met at Bible College and have been married for 34 years. God has graciously blessed them with two children who are both married and living for the Lord. Brenda is also thoroughly enjoying the wonderful privilege of being Grandma to five precious little ones!  She considers it a real joy to partner alongside Earl as he serves in full-time ministry at Hope Bible Church, and is passionate about God’s Word, and seeing women learn and grow in His truth.

Jenn Martin

A Vital Link Necessary for Growth and Change - Jen Martin

There is a direct correlation between the engagement of God’s Word and a life that glorifies God. The intentional process of renewing our minds, submitting our wills and informing our emotions, based on God’s truth, changes our time spent in God’s Word and how we live. Consider what Jenn describes as a vital link between God’s Word, our hearts, prayer, and a life that glorifies God—that must begin with the end in mind!

Bio: Jenn Martin enjoys engaging and learning with women of all ages in teaching settings, over coffee or through online Biblical counselling sessions. She is a certificated Biblical counsellor through ACBC (The Association of Certified Biblical Counselors); the Director of Ministry to Women for Calvary Baptist Church Oshawa, Ontario; a Women’s Ministry Consultant and formerly the Director of Women’s Ministry for The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Canada (Central Region). Jenn and her husband Greg have three adult children and together enjoy family, home-roasted coffee, good books and serving the Lord in their local church. Connect further with Jenn @

Janet Surette-3a

Flourishing in the Ordinary - Janet Surette

Though wildly important and eventually rewarding, nurturing a family can be full of much that is frustrating and ordinary. Is it God’s plan and provision that we simply survive early motherhood? Or is it possible to engage those ordinary days and years with delight and purpose? Come explore biblical imagery that inspires us to fully and joyfully invest in the early years for the extraordinary relational and spiritual potential they hold.

Bio: Janet Surette is a wife, mother of teens, author and Bible teacher. She writes for women at and is a contributing writer and speaker for The Gospel Coalition Canada in matters of Christian Living and Motherhood. She has two published children’s books and more on the way. Janet learns, worships, and serves with her family at Southshore Bible Church in her adopted hometown of Barrie.

Forgiveness - Andrea Thom

The mention of forgiveness can ignite anger, evoke hope, or conjure up memories we’ve worked hard to bury. Injustice and conflict are inescapable evils that come to us all - they force us to endure pain and make choices about mercy. Despite its familiarity, debates among experts can be clumsy, contradictory, and result in a foggy understanding of what Forgiveness is and how it is applied. What is biblical forgiveness? How does it differ from a therapeutic definition? Is it fair? Necessary? What if it feels like it hasn’t worked? In this workshop, we will carefully use Scripture to unpack a lesser-known yet biblical definition of Forgiveness and begin to address some of the confusion that surrounds its approach and application.

Bio: Andrea is a wife, mom of three, a therapist (MSc), and a writer/ speaker who is passionate to see lives transformed through His Word. She is a recurrent conference speaker and guest on various radio (WDCX) and podcast (HopeStreamRadio) programs. Her writing has been recognized by national and international awards seeking to identify today’s best new Christian writers. She writes for a variety of international sites including The Gospel Coalition Canada, is a published author of two Bible studies, RUTH - Redeeming The Darkness and AMOS - Come Awake!, and blogs at She loves everyday joys like unexpected belly laughs, putting on warm clothes straight from the dryer, and Starbs coffee with two cream, unstirred.

Jen Pollock Michel - How to Share Your Faith (When it Seems No One Wants to Listen)

We struggle to share our faith both courageously and sensitively. While we want to faithfully proclaim the Good News of Jesus, we’re also afraid of offending people and damaging relationships. This workshop explores practical ways to start and continue spiritual conversations with our neighbours, friends, and family.

Jen Pollock Michel is the author of Surprised by Paradox, Keeping Place, and Teach Us to Want. Her forthcoming book, A Habit Called Faith, releases next February and is intended for both Christians as well as seekers. You can subscribe to Jen’s monthly newsletter at
